Cornwall energy recovery centre family day and charity walk

Over 100 SUEZ employees with friends and family joined us on 16 June 2018 for the first community day at the Cornwall energy recovery centre.

Fun was had by all – children could meet the Gruffalo, have their faces painted and have fun on the bouncy castle, while their parents enjoyed a hog roast and tombola.

Guests took part in a 3.2km walk through the woodland around the site, part of our ongoing Big Walk initiative to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Together, we raised £871.72 for the charity – enough to pay for a Macmillan social worker for over a week! Thanks to the staff and their families’ involvement, we are one step closer towards our goal of raising £80,000 by the end of 2018.
