Helping Helifest Take Off
Through its bin collection sponsorship and employee volunteering programme, SUEZ helped keep the event running smoothly while supporting a charity that makes a real difference across Cornwall.
SUEZ is proud to have played a part in this year’s Helifest, the much-loved community event hosted by Cornwall Air Ambulance at Scorrier House on Saturday 4 July. Helifest brings together families, emergency service organisations and local businesses to raise awareness and support for Cornwall Air Ambulance. Over 4500 visitors enjoyed helicopter displays, live music, family activities and opportunities to learn more about the life-saving work of blue light services across Cornwall.
Supporting the event’s sustainability efforts, SUEZ provided waste collection services and 25 bags of waste were collected by volunteers litter picking, helping keep the grounds clean and enjoyable for attendees.
Julia Jeffery, Corporate Partnerships Manager from Cornwall Air Ambulance said “The support we received from SUEZ was invaluable. Their waste management expertise and volunteer team helped us maintain the site throughout the day, allowing visitors to focus on enjoying the event and supporting Cornwall Air Ambulance. As a charity we rely on local business support to help make events such as Helifest like this a success.”
