Changes to charges for DIY waste

Following changes to legislation from 02 January 2024, Bodmin, Connon Bridge, Dudnance Lane, Helston, Launceston and United Mines household waste recycling centres will no longer accept asbestos, plasterboard, soil, tyres, rubble, and sanitary ware.

All other household waste recycling centres will accept the equivalent of up to 8 bags of soil or rubble or 4 sheets of plasterboard or asbestos* per week without charge.

Any volumes above this will be subject to charges to cover specialist disposal costs.
