Commercial waste now accepted at Launceston and St Erth HWRCs
Commercial waste is now accepted at Launceston and St Erth HWRCs.
There is a charge for this service, based on the type of items that are deposited.
How it works
Customers wishing to deposit commercial waste must use the online commercial waste booking system, and ensure that an accurate description of the waste is given in the booking.
Customers bringing commercial waste must present proof of a valid waste carriers licence.
A final charge will be calculated on arrival and must be paid in full before items are deposited. Payment is card only (no cash).
You will be charged according to the highest value waste type in your vehicle. For example, if you have a mix of wood and green waste, your load will be charged as wood.
Charges increase according to the size of your vehicle (from small cars to large vans).
Vehicles bringing waste in both a vehicle and trailer will be charged for two loads, one for the vehicle and one for the trailer.
Partial loads will not receive a discount.
No tipping vehicles – all loads must be emptied by hand into the appropriate skips.
Accepted waste and applicable charges
Restrictions and vehicles
Commercial Waste is restricted to items that are already accepted at each HWRC and customers are advised to check before making a booking. Customers are required to separate contaminating waste (such as asbestos) and ensure that all material types are organised before arrival.
The existing vehicle permit scheme will not apply for bringing commercial waste.
You are permitted to bring commercial waste in a domestic (non-commercial) vehicle , but it must be declared correctly through the online commercial waste booking system. Customers suspected of bringing non-declared commercial waste will be subject to the existing Trade Waste Disclaimer policies.
