Kernow Reuse Beats the Elements to Smash Royal Cornwall Show Engagement
Kernow Reuse celebrated a successful Royal Cornwall Show, surpassing last year’s engagement despite severe weather forcing the cancellation of Saturday’s event.
Kernow Reuse shops are based at Household Waste Recycling Centres across Cornwall but as part of the SUEZ stand at this years show a Kernow Reuse pop up shop saw strong support from visitors. Despite losing a full day of trading due to adverse weather conditions, Kernow Reuse exceeded its 2025 performance, highlighting the growing demand for sustainable, affordable goods. This years show saw Kernow Reuse, increase sales by 250%, marking a notable increase on last year’s performance.
The SUEZ stand attracted significant interest, with a steady flow of visitors keen to support reuse initiatives and learn more about SUEZ’s work in sustainable waste management. Popular items ranged from reclaimed household goods to upcycled bikes, and sports equipment, all demonstrating the rising demand for sustainable shopping.
Becky Parry, Renew manager at SUEZ said “We’re incredibly proud of what the team achieved at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show despite losing a day. The support we received from the public over the other days was fantastic. It really shows how much people value reuse, sustainability, and the work we’re doing in the community.”
Kernow Reuse continues to play a key role in Cornwall’s circular economy, diverting items from the waste stream while creating positive social impact.
