SUEZ supports Bodmin College eco school status
Natalie Chard, Community Liaison Manager and Ian Broad, Site Manager at Bodmin’s material recycling facility, were delighted to support Alison Perrin and Sam Ellis, from Bodmin College in their drive to achieve Eco School status.
Alison was inspired following a visit with students to the local materials recycling facility operated by SUEZ. Alison said “I hate the throwaway society we live in and the impact we are having on our environment. I try hard to instil the value of looking after things in my students and this initiative is a great way of helping to look after our environment.”
The reusable bamboo cups donated by SUEZ were presented to Mrs Seward-Adams, Principal at Bodmin College for sixth formers to use, helping to reduce the waste created at break times with the added benefit that they can also be used outside of college.
Natalie Chard said: “It’s great to be able to use our expertise to support a local school in reducing its impact on our environment.”
