You’ll learn how we reduce and reuse waste, find out what can be made out of recycled materials and see for yourself how we process waste materials before they are turned into recycled products.

As well as a tour of the recycling facility, you can take part in:

• Videos and computer games
• Games to sort waste and recycling
• Word-searches, crosswords and quizzes
• Modelling and drawing activities
• Question-and-answer sessions

The visitor centre opened in 2008. Since then, thousands of people have discovered the difference that recycling can make. We hope you’re tempted to visit and look forward to welcoming you soon.

School trips are welcome. We can accommodate school groups of up to 30 pupils in the visitors centre and up to 15 adults on tours of the facility. For more information, please visit our Educations activities page.

How to find us

From West Cornwall

• Turn off the A30 signposted Bodmin, Liskeard, Plymouth and A38.
• At Carminow Cross roundabout, take the second exit signposted Bodmin, A38.
• Take the first right signposted Industrial Estates.
• At the crossroads, turn right.
• Move into the central lane and turn right into the Business Park.
• At the next junction, the building to the right of the car park is the materials recycling facility and
visitor centre. You’ll recognise it by the distinctive glass porch.

From East Cornwall

• Turn off the A30 signposted Bodmin, Plymouth, Liskeard and A38.
• Take the second left onto the Business Park.
• At the next junction, the building to the right of the car park is the materials recycling facility and visitor centre. You’ll recognise it by the distinctive glass porch.

A few important details

The building has disabled toilets and lift access. We may also be able help with travel arrangements if required.
