  • From St Day, take the Frogpool Road.
  • At United Downs, the site is located on the right.

Please note: You may find travelling to our new Truro household waste recycling centre, next to Waitrose, closer for your recycling.

Monday to Sunday, 9.00am to 4.00pm

Where there is a fee to pay no cash payments will be accepted, card payments only.

  • Cooking oil (in secure containers)
  • Energy-saving lightbulbs
  • Engine oil
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • Garden tools
  • Gas bottles
  • Glass
  • Green/garden waste – Please do not bring Japanese Knotweed. Ragwort must be double-bagged and placed in the general waste.
  • Household chemicals (under 5 litres)
  • Household waste including large bulky items
  • Items for re-use

  • Newspaper and magazines
  • Paints
  • Paper
  • Plasterboard (there is a fee to pay)
  • Plastic bottles

Cartons and paper containers with metal ends

  • Juice cartons including caps and straws
  • Pringle tubes but no lids

  • Other paper containers with metal ends (no lids)
