The report demonstrates how waste in the county is being put to good use by recovering materials for new products and packaging and generating energy to power homes. It also shows how local communities are benefiting from additional social value.

Key achievements during this contract year include:

• Over 99% of waste diverted from landfill.
• The opening of the new Truro household waste recycling centre to provide local communities with more opportunity for recycling.
• Our visitor centres at Bodmin materials recycling facility and Cornwall energy recovery centre welcomed 3,931 visitors throughout the year – up from 2,997 the previous year.
