Bodmin materials recycling facility open day this summer
At the materials recycling facility in Bodmin, you’ll be able to see first-hand the difference recycling can make to our environment.
On Wednesday 22 August 2018, there will be an open day with two types of tours available. Places are limited, so please ensure you book in advance.
Mini Tour – starting at 11am
Duration: One hour
Your visit will consist of a presentation about waste management in Cornwall and recycling, as well as a behind the scenes tour of the facility to witness the many different materials being separated and bailed.
Family tour – starting at 2pm
Duration: Two hours
This tour will begin with a presentation about waste management in Cornwall and an introduction to the four ‘Rs’ – reduce, reuse, recycle, recover. As a group, you will complete a tour of the facility to witness the many different materials being separated and bailed. Children will have the opportunity of making arts and crafts from reused materials, as well as taking part in recycling games and activities.
