SUEZ support The Conservation Foundation

Lindsay Simpson, SUEZ Operations Manager for Cornwall’s household waste and recycling centres is absolutely delighted to be able to support The Conservation Foundation’s tool shed initiative led by Kevin Marsh, its South West Regional Coordinator.

This National Lottery Community funded project, which is coordinated in Cornwall by Kevin Marsh, Tools Shed refurbishes broken and unwanted garden tools in partnership with Dartmoor Prison, providing occupation and skills to prisoners. The ‘new’ tools are then donated free of charge to local schools and community projects.

Lindsay said: “We are currently piloting collection points at four of our household waste recycling centres based at Connon Bridge, United Mines, Launceston and Falmouth and have already seen a huge amount of tools collected for this initiative from householders in Cornwall.”

Kevin said: “Since January, we have already given away over 300 free garden tools to schools and community projects in Cornwall. We are looking forward to working with SUEZ to help improve local environments in Cornwall.”
