Volunteers help plant hundreds of new trees at Penrose House, Helston

A dedicated team of volunteers has helped make significant progress in a major tree‑planting initiative at Penrose House, Helston, successfully planting around 700 trees in a single session despite challenging weather conditions. Making a good dent in the 1,600 target.

The event was part of an ongoing commitment to improving local green spaces and biodiversity. Although heavy rain and earlier‑season weather created difficult working conditions, volunteers remained enthusiastic and determined throughout the day.

Organisers expressed deep gratitude for the turnout and the positive energy shown by everyone involved.
The contribution from SUEZ to our planting project is very much appreciated and I am glad the team enjoyed the day.”

The newly planted trees will support biodiversity, create habitats for local wildlife, and strengthen green spaces for generations to come.
