Christmas lunches galore in St Dennis!

SUEZ recycling and recovery UK were delighted to help those in need over Christmas with a donation of £500 to support a local initiative aimed at providing Christmas lunches for anyone who faced Christmas on their own. This contribution is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back and fostering community spirit.

During the Christmas period many elderly residents faced the challenge of being alone and enjoying a traditional festive meal. The funds donated assisted in covering the costs of a delicious Christmas lunch, served by the many wonderful volunteers who gave up their own Christmas day celebrations to give back to their own community.

“What’s great about this initiative is that it was set up to help anyone who was on their own this Christmas. We had calls from people that had been released from hospital on the morning or the night before that we delivered a meal to, also families from the women’s refuge wo had found themselves in temporary accommodation,” said Lisa Adams, Administrations Manager at SUEZ “I really enjoyed volunteering on Christmas day and helping people in our local community, I’d highly recommend it’’.
