Cornwall teams support local Christmas collections
Cornwall energy recovery centre, Bodmin and Poole materials recycling facilities employees, worked together in the run up to Christmas to support two local charities.
A number of employees collected for the Cornwall Christmas Box and Shoebox Appeal for Dogs, which help to ensure that vulnerable and impoverished families in Cornwall are able to enjoy a special Christmas.
The Cornwall Christmas Box appeal was started over 16 years ago by Truro Vineyard Church and collects Christmas dinner boxes to give away through Cornwall Council’s social services team to those in need.
This year, the goodwill and support were extended to include donations for the Dog House in Helston who benefitted from two big boxes, four bags full of goodies and equipment to distribute to our furry friends over the festive season.
Christine Roos, Operations Manager for SUEZ recycling and recovery UK said: “We were really pleased to receive a mention on their Facebook page thanking the team at SUEZ for the doggy Christmas shoebox appeal collection.”
